UG TOSHI KENCHIKU Co.,Ltd

UG Toshi-Sekkei Co.,Ltd has made a start as a city planning consulting office
in September,1969. It was the first Japanese firm in dealing with town management
with new concept. It has proposed several new ideas such as a convention,
a waterfront, a resort, a research park and an atrium. And its appropriate
and innovative business strategy has resulted in various of successful urban
development projects throughout the country. It has played an important
role as a pioneer for urban development and town management in this country.
In April, 1998, it has merged with GL kenchiku Sekkei Co., Ltd, an affiliate
and the company name was changed to "UG Toshi-Kenchiku Co., Ltd."
It has introduced a company system with two divisions (city planning company
and architectural design company) where a project can be judged and promoted
synthetically from the view point of city planning and architectural design
through maintaining its specialty.
In June, 2002, our top management has changed. Mr. Takahide Suzuki who
led the company since its establishment has retired.
In April, 2003, we have established "UG Institute of Advanced Social
System" which will provide appropriate answers to problems arising
from dynamic changes of our social and economic structure in the 21st
century.
It will highly provide prompt and satisfactory services to our customers
in responding to their various needs and demand of the era.
UG Toshi Kenchiku's stance and outline of its strategy
are the following.
Walks, thinks and creates with the citizen.
As for future town management and architectural management, it is requested
that its promotion should be done on the side of the citizen such as the
resident, the person at work, the user, the land owner etc. in a broad
sense. It highly values this position.
Challenges actively with "regeneration" which is the theme
of the matured society .
As for the city and the architecture in matured society , "regeneration"
has become an important theme. It challenges with the various "regeneration
projects" such as the city regeneration, the effective use of the
land, the re-development and the re-building.
Extends wide range of business as a soft developer.
It actively tackles and challenges with PFI and other projects by leveraging
"know-how" experience as a key factor which has been accumulated
as a soft developer in the area of promotion of city planning, acquisition
of the authorized permit, business composition and finance formation.
Forms and promotes urban development and real estate development.
In promoting development business, control of risk is of importance in
addition to good planning and good design. With these two wheels, it will
form and promote business smoothly, rapidly and favorably.
Believes strongly on the idea of "good design makes good town."
The excellent design plays an important role in town management. Together
with business composition capacity, highly advanced design skill will
enable to form a more attractive city space and to develop real estate
with high profitability.
UG will break a new ground in town
management and architectural management in the 21st century.
